Bulgarian Geothermal Association was founded in 2009 to encourage development and utilization of geothermal resources in Bulgaria.

It is non-political and non-governmental organization.

The main objectives are creating of close liaison with all organizations interested in alternative or renewable energy sources, with companies and institutions involved in the geothermal sector in Bulgaria and abroad, protection of their rights and interests
